BEFORE the 1st DAY OF TRYOUTS- Athletes need to complete the concussion education, turn in the physical and register before tryouts begin.

  • Join Schoology group; QZPB-Q963-5PQTK
  • Cross Country (CC) athletes selected for State Championships are exempt from tryouts
  • Potential sprinters need to tryout in the 100m, 200m and 400m

Coaches look for all aspects of the tryout to determine a final roster; attendance, results, attitude, work ethics and leadership ability. Due to limited entries set by FCPS and Meet Directors, athletes are not guaranteed a chance to compete, but we will do our best to bring as many athletes as possible. Athletes with too many excused/unexcused practices in a week leading up to a competition will not compete.

Athletes who wish to try out for indoor track & field and are missing Monday-Wednesday, must be present on Thursday or Friday or contact Coach Zuber beforehand to inform her you’ll be completing the makeup day later. If you are not present on Thursday or Friday and didn’t contact Coach Zuber, the deadline has passed to try out for 2026 Winter track & field.
