COMMUNITY MESSAGE
Legislation introduced in the Virginia General Assembly and recently signed into law will result in two significant changes to the athletic pre-participation examination (physical) requirements for FCPS student-athletes:
- Beginning July 1, 2025, athletic physicals will be considered valid for a period of 14 months from the date the form is signed by the medical provider completing the exam. This is the date on page 3 of the VHSL Athletic Participation/Parent Consent/Physical Examination Form (revised January 2021).
- Beginning May 1, 2025, FCPS student-athletes are EXPECTED to have athletic physicals completed on the new VHSL Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Evaluation Form (revised April 2025).

The Cavs Sports Pass grants you access to all C.G. Woodson home sporting events, excluding divisional and regional games. Once you purchase a pass through the website here you will receive a QR code directly to your phone. Same code for all games you attend. The pass allows one entrance/access to each game/gate. Passes cannot be shared. Regular ticket admission to sporting events is $5 for students and $7 for adults. If you are a Woodson student and plan on attending 6 or more games this spring season, purchasing the Cavs Sports Student Pass is an easy decision! Questions about the passes?
